H&M, everyone’s favorite fast fashion retailer, went luxe last night with a full-blown (and glamorous) runway show during Paris Fashion Week at a specially constructed space at the Musée Rodin. Keeping in tune with their accesible aesthetic, while simultaneously kicking it up a notch, H&M presented an eclectic and wearable collection filled with intricate knitwear, leather jackets, boho pieces and a few sequined dresses—you know, for those special nights. The collection will be available worldwide in over 200 stores for Fall on September 5, 2013—you know just in time to kick of New York Fashion Week.

Why Mr. Lim did you steal all the colored fabrics and materials? One of the first shows I witnessed during New York Fashion Week with a steady dose of color was the 3.1 Phillip Lim show in midtown manhattan. With an inspiration of “girlfriends of bikers” it wasn’t as if Lim needed color. He could have shared it with some of the other designers this season, but I can forgive him, because he did an iconic job.
