What I Wore – Lucky FABB West Conference — #LUCKYFABB

Yesterday I attended the Lucky FABB West conference. While the room was filled with way cooler dressers than I, I still received a ton of compliments on my casual cool look and appreciated being comfortable for the long and informative day of panels. In case you don’t know, Lucky FABB is an event for fashion and beauty bloggers organized by Lucky magazine. Alexis Bryan Morgan, the executive fashion director of the publication, moderated one of the panels there and also explained to the room where the name “Lucky,” came from. Basically, you know that butterfly feeling in the pit of your stomach, tiny whirl in your head and enlargement of your eyes and heart when you find that one perfect item that you’ve been coveting? Well, when you find it, you feel…LUCKY! It’s so true, and what better name for a magazine, that is all about shopping and edits everything down for you, so you always feel lucky when reading it?

Anyway, I bring this up because each of the items I wore yesterday gave me that feeling. I felt lucky. Unfortunately…I tend to only shop the sale racks for most of my clothes so a lot of things are no longer available, but I did find some great alternatives…

Levi’s Denim Blouse, here.

Tweed Pants (mine are SW3 Bespoke, which have an amazing fit) — in gray here, similar brown tweed pants, here.

Tory Burch Necklace, again sold out, but similar look here!

My nail color is Mint Candy Apple by Essie and my watch was a limited edition piece from Danish Design that I picked up in Singapore a year ago! Needless to say, I felt…lucky!

Oh, and my shoes…Pour La Victoire, black patent pumps, because I am painfully short!
