My first two memories of Pierre Hardy and Christian Louboutin originate from my mom. Before Sex & The City made the man with the red soles famous, my mom discovered the CL boutique on Madison Avenue in NYC. Then, his shoes went for a meager $385…fast forward a little less than ten years, and you can’t buy used Louboutins on eBay for less than $500. For Pierre Hardy, my mother picked up a suede lace-up mule and leather ballet-style heels from Intermix. The only person who recognized his shoes was a classmate, Molly Howard at Trinity. Fast forward nearly ten years again, and Pierre Hardy is a household name for most fashionistas and footwear enthusiasts. That’s why I’m proud to pair these two designers and two shoes next to one another. Mama knows best!
Now, don’t be scared of the color. It’s not as intimidating as it looks and you can always style it with all black or another neutral color like navy or taupe. Enjoy! And hurry on the Pierre Hardy pair! They’re on sale at The Outnet!
