Style by Sade: Jessica Alba’s UBER Cute Look at the #LUCKYFABB West Conference

Today I attended the #LUCKYFABB West Conference at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica. It was filled with fashionable fashion bloggers, magazine editors, press and Jessica Alba who spoke about her amazing eco-friendly baby line, HONEST. I will get to her company, but first let’s talk about her adorable look!

Alice + Olivia sweater, printed cropped trousers from Topshop, contrast-toe Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and eco-friendly lilac polish! As I was sitting on the end of the second row, I spotted Jessica peeping into the room as Zac Posen gushed about working with Glenn Close for the 2012 Oscars. She was standing amongst bloggers equally as excited as we were to hear Posen talk. When Jessica took the stage she immediately thanked us for our contributions to the  digital space, and was funny, charming and humble —like chatting with an old friend.

Honest, her “start-up,” started out of her need and want  to dress her first baby in environmentally safe products. After she had an allergic reaction to what was supposed to be a baby-friendly detergent, Jessica started reviewing and researching various (and often harmful) ingredients in products we use daily. She then reached out to Christopher Gavin, who had authored Healthy Child, Healthy World and bullied him into working with her on an eco-friendly line. After some weird looks from friends, agents and family (namely, her mom) Jessica pushed forward and birthed a safe, affordable and eco-conscious line that is available to everyone and looks good! Her story and products were so inspiring that it literally made me want to have a baby —okay, that’s a lie…everyone knows I am baby crazed, this just added to it! Anyway, check out The Honest Company, whether you’re a mother, expecting, a woman or a man, it’s awesome!

And…here are the details on Alba’s look! I swear I looked and looked for the Alice + Olivia sweater and it is no where to be found! However, I bet Jenni from I Spy DIY (another panelist at #LUCKYFABB) could recreate it in a snap! Ditto for Jessica’s color-combo on the Zanotti shoes, but I found something similar by the same designer!

1. Georgia Merino-Silk Sweater, Club Monaco, $130; 2. Aztec Jacquard Cigarette Trousers, Topshop, $80; 3. Contrast Toe Pumps, Giuseppe Zanotti, $470; 4. Lilacism Nail Color, Essie, $8
