Actress Freida Pinto is killing it on the 2012 Cannes Film Festival red carpet! As one of the faces of L’Oreal, Pinto has a selection of gorgeous dresses and pieces to wear to the various Cannes events and she’s not being shy about using this privilege! So let’s take a look at her recent red carpet scores and I’ll recommend a few pieces to help you (and me) emulate her look!
For the photo call of Desert Dance, her new upcoming film, she did the mid-drift baring trend with a selection from Salvatore Ferragamo‘s Resort 2012 collection. Now if you know me, I am not a fan of this trend, but it is coming back, and certain people (like my bestie Tiff) do pull it off pretty well. I also love the easy geometric trend! For the De Rouille et D’Os premiere Freida wore a couture gown from Atelier Versace, and a split that almost rivaled Jolie’s Oscar look (okay, nothing rivals that look)! Anyway the beaded and peplum gown in a bright lime green was absolutely stunning! She paired it with a silver clutch and shoes by Ferragamo. Get a similar clutch and heels here and here. And…for her first look at the Cannes Film Festival, the opening ceremony, she wore a sequined bustier and satin peplum skirt dress with a skinny silver belt by the designer Michael Angel. One of my favorite looks of the whole event so far. So young, so fresh, so appropriate and still super sexy.
