Tonight I leave for New York City for New York Fashion Week. Being a native New Yorker who has lived in Los Angeles for seven years (wow does that age me?), I am not going to lie. I am not looking forward to the cold. Having to look fashionable everyday, in some cases two to three times a day in cold weather definitely gives this sunshine girl a bit of a panic attack. So I’ve turned to my favorite style blogs and favorite fashion editors for inspiration.
Style by Sade: 1. Printed pleated cotton skirt, Proenza Schouler, $650; 2. Faux-Shearling Jacket, Romeo & Juliet Couture; 3. Addiction Over-the-Knee boots, Journee Collection, $100; 4. MHL Chunky Wool Scarf, Margaret Howell, $135
This style question is not from a reader, but rather from my own neurotic and fashion obsessed mind! So who did I pick as inspiration? Taylor Tomasi Hill, the former Marie Claire accessories director and now the Artistic Director at Moda Operandi. Known for her amazing style and sinewy body, Taylor keeps warm and stylish in practical (albeit couture) finds. Cold be damned, add a scarf, and that’s exactly what Taylor did and I will too!
