New York Fashion Week – Spring 2013 Diary – Day Five and Six – Oscar de la Renta & Lincoln Center Shows

Wow, New York Fashion Week is almost over and as it all winds down I’ve been attending less shows and focusing more on filling you in on what I’ve been doing these last few days. Like last season, tomorrow, the last day of New York Fashion Week is super busy, but Monday and Tuesday were pretty quiet days. On Monday I attended the Marimekko show downtown for Stylecaster, while one of my contributors, Jo, attended the Angel Sanchez, Reem Acra and Farah Angsana collections uptown at Lincoln Center for ICON. Afterwards I went back to my “office” at Starbucks and blogged about the Derek Lam and GenArt shows for Stylecaster. In the evening I headed over to the Pier 57 studios by the water where I attended the Zero + Maria Cornejo show for my own site.

While it was a “quiet” day it was definitely still exciting and ZMC had some awesome blues and prints on the runway. I also ran into fellow SC blogger Jilly there, who writes the blog Sorelle in Style with her twin sister.

On Tuesday, I finally had a late day and was slated to shoot backstage at Oscar de la Renta at his office across the street from Bryant Park and then head downtown to Milk Studios for the Sophie Theallet show. I won’t spoil any of Tuesday’s news for you, because it was truly exciting. Besides getting to interview Mr. Oscar de la Renta himself, I also watched model fittings, interviewed Revlon’s Gucci Westman again and chatted with model Karlie Kloss.
