This week, Moda Operandi (M’O) is proud to announce that they’re celebrating São Paulo Fashion Week with a tantalizing collection of merchandise from Brazil’s brightest design stars. I’m proud to announce that M’O has contacted me to help them promote this event and pick my favorite pieces from their selected designers to share with my readers. Moda Operandi’s Taylor Tomasi Hill (the site’s artistic director, and modern fashion icon) traveled to São Paulo during their fashion week to personally inspect and select this week’s offerings. Bright, vibrant and filled with the nation’s culture, Moda Operandi is bringing Brazil to its international and stylishly inclined shoppers.
So just a little background… Moda Operandi, in case you don’t know, is an online retailer that offers complete runway looks right off the runway before they’re available to the general public. Drooling yet? They’ve got an expert team at their disposal, and are kinda the next big e-commerce thing in the fashion world. I could get all techy with you and give you their funding stats, but I am going to stick to the amazing fashion that their artistic director, Taylor Tomasi Hill has curated for you this week. And from her curations, I am going to curate one piece from each designer that is being shown everyday on their site. Think of it as an Icon Pick, a Brazilian Icon pick!
The selected designers for this week are: Patricia Viera, Colcci, Isolda, Pedro Lourenco, Cris Barros, Paula Raia, Barbara Bela and Iodice for ready to wear, Carla Amorim, Ara Vartanian and Silvia Furmanovich for jewelry, and Adriana Degreas and J. Chermann/Agua de Coco for swim. All the pieces for this week’s trunk shows on M’O were shot over a two day period, a record, even for them. And don’t worry if a lot of these names don’t sound familiar to you yet, they will soon.

This may not be carnaval, but it’s pretty close, and I am ready to waive my green, blue and red (the colors of my credit cards) for this event!
