Hey Everyone – I hope your week has been going well and that you’re excited for the weekend! As I mentioned previously I am in NYC for a few weeks as my husband attends a summer math program at Princeton. This week has been a little crazy, so I apologize for not posting daily, I promise next week I’ll have much more fashion news and content up! That said, I haven’t forgotten my love for NYC or fashion and have attended two fun and quick events in the city while I’ve been here. First up on Wednesday was a quick and fun frozen yogurt stop at the Rebecca Minkoff offices. Their social media director got the Ben & Jerrys Truck to stop by, and me and about 5 other NYC based fashion bloggers noshed on peanut butter & banana Greek style froyo. OPA! AND I finally got to meet Rebecca in person, so sweet! I had to fight back the urge not to hum Call Me, Maybe.

Next stop on Thursday morning was a breakfast hosted by Tumblr for designer Lisa Salzer of Lulu Frost. Unfortunately, I did not bring my camera as lugging around a DSLR on a rainy Thursday morning in 5-inch heels is hard. Not impossible, but hard. However, when I arrived I instantly regretted it. Lisa walked each of us bloggers through her pieces, the materials she uses and the inspiration behind her latest collection, “Power.” She even showed us a video that she produced showcasing her Fall 2012 collection that hits stores next week. I will have that, better pictures of the jewelry and more details on Lisa, her life and her designs up on the site by mid next week!
