New York Fashion Week has wrapped and designers in London have been busy showing off their best designs for the Fall/Winter 2012 season during London Fashion Week. Celebrities, editors and fashion bloggers have hoped from one chilly city to a chillier one to see the latest from Stella McCartney, McQueen, Burberry Prorsum, Mulberry and many more! Here are The Icon Concierge’s favorite picks and most noticeable trends for the F/W 2012 season from London!
Twenty8Twelve is a youthful brand that since its inception in 2007 has had many fans from London and abroad. Their collection presented this season featured tailored pieces, bubble gum pink and that peplum we’ve been seeing everywhere. I love the standard basics that can be mixed and matched with other brands such as the grey or pink wool blazers pictured above.
Todd Lynn was one of the designers that The Icon Concierge met during London SHOW Rooms Los Angeles. As fashion shows all begin to merge together (after 12 days of shows!) I can definitely appreciate his rocker slouchy short boot that he presented along with his fabulous F/W collection. Pieces ranged from smart suits, and on-trend items such as lace tops, fur cowls and metallic. I am not sure if you can see it in the pictures, but the pieces all had AMAZING details, piping and tiny accents such as in the draping.
House of Holland
I wonder if Henry Holland conceived this collection while lost in a forest on the way to Grandma’s house…I jest, I jest! House of Holland displayed a collection true to Brit fashion with tons of checkered and chevron prints and massive (and gorgeous) red furs. His color palette actually included pretty blues and greens as well, however how could I have made my funny quip above if I had included those!
Actually, the red pieces were my favorite and made the boldest statement. I love how he did not shy away from using strong colors, upon strong colors, as can be seen by the red lipstick on the models. I see all of the Clarins clan wearing the jacket to the far right (at the same time, skinny ladies). However, my favorite is the jacket to the left. ICONIC!
