Now this is the moment I’ve been waiting for! Vogue’s September 2012 cover featuring Lady Gaga has been released and she’s wearing Marc Jacobs! As many of you know September is the most important month for fashion. Shows happen, you’re not allowed to wear white and magazines scramble to release their largest issues of the year to celebrate fall fashion.
So naturally, we as a fashion nation look anxiously towards the mother of all fashion publications—print and digital—Vogue, for ultimate inspiration. Now let’s look at this cover…Is Lady Gaga channeling Nicki Minaj? Did Anna Wintour want Nicki Minaj? Is that a sketch, a severely altered photo, or simply art? I’ll take it for art.
