Is there anything Karl doesn’t do? Besides designing his own label and for Chanel and Fendi, he’s also a photographer (in case you didn’t know) and he recently shot Joan Smalls for his own Fendi ’12 campaign. Set in the small town of Chianti, right outside of Florence, Karl captured the colorful furs and streamlined cuts of the Fendi Fall 2012 collection against the backdrop of an authentic Italian countryside.
That’s the review, now here’s the gossip: Karl spotted Joan modeling the collection during the show and knew she was the one, just her, he said. They escaped to Chianti, but it rained all day and they had to wait for the skies to clear. A true fashion love story! So, what do you think about Karl shooting his own campaigns?
