Yesterday morning I attended the Guy Laroche Spring 2013 show at Paris Fashion Week. The clothes were refined and elegant and models sported romantic barrel curls and smoky eyes. Creative director Marcel Marongiu wanted to return glamour to the way women dressed and did so perfectly with his show on Wednesday.
What I loved about the looks were how complete they were. Even for the crop-top styles the women were covered with overcoats and their peep-toe pumps had chunky heels that signaled a more practical approach.
Who should wear this collection? The young editor, the older business woman or the downtown hipster who wants to mature their look.
