If you’re a celebrity and you need a red carpet gown for an upcoming award show (um…Oscars), or a red carpet event you shouldn’t look any further than the F/W 2012 collection from designer Farah Angsana from New York Fashion Week. Her collection was fierce, fearless, fun and even functional. Showing trends echoed in other shows that included burnt orange, peplum, metallic and rich Fall colors, the Angsana collection will surely be seen on the red-carpet soon.
From the first look, a jewel-encrusted gown with a black crepe bottom (pictured upper right) and the last fringe and sequined risque number (pictured left), the Farah Angsana collection screamed innovative couture from a rising design star. Sexy plunging necklines, accompanied by thigh grazing slits were only paired down with the ladylike up-dos and simple make-up palette of the models. What I liked most about the Angsana collection, was her subtle use of additional colors in her beading and details. Definitely one of my favorite collections from New York Fashion Week!
