Blogger Style Labs | Luisa Via Roma’s Style Lab

Well, this is my last post on this season’s Firenze4Ever event at Luisa Via Roma. I hope you’ve enjoyed my Style Labs (here, here and here), and have had the chance to view all the other style labs on the Luisa site as well. In case you haven’t though, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite looks, my favorite memories and give you all their fashion details, so you can shop their looks. In case you haven’t been on my blog for a while, Luisa Via Roma is a majestic store in Florence, Italy. Twice a year they invite the most influential bloggers from around the world to participate in an event they call Firenze4Ever. We create “Style Labs” using their new merchandise for the new season that is not yet available to the public.

They close down the store, they bring in people like Karl, Missoni and Madonna, and they spoil us to death. It was basically a fantasy, and I feel so grateful to have participated in such an amazing event. My fellow bloggers came from all over the world, and all created amazing looks. Here are some of my favorite and the deets on what they’re wearing!

Chiara from The Blonde SaladPhoto: Sara Mautone

Undoubtedly one of the biggest bloggers in the world, this was my first time meeting Chiara. I was instantly star struck, but played it cool. She’s such a genuinely nice, humble and gorgeous woman though, that it wasn’t too hard. She immediately embraced me, and I can’t wait to see her again when she visits the U.S. later this summer. She’s wearing:

Jacket, Isabel Marant; Jeans, J.Brand; Tank, Alexander Wang; Pumps, Casadei

Alessia, The Red-Dot

What a sweet girl! Alessia decided to use a model for her style lab, but boy can this girl style and photograph! An Italian PhD student living in Brussels, Alessia practically stole my mother! Joking. No, but seriously, one of the sweetest people I met at the event. Definitely check out her site, as she also does amazing fashion illustrations! She styled:

Coat, Meteo; Tank and Pants, Riis; Bag, Yves Saint Laurent

Andy Torres, Style Scrapbook Photo: Richard Nicholls

There was nothing scrappy about Andy or her looks for the Style Lab. A Mexican living in The Netherlands (her words, not mine), I first met Andy at IFB in February. While I was sad to learn that she does not speak Dutch, she was super nice and we were happy to reconnect at Firenze4Ever. I love how she paired a sweet dress with a sexy hair style and devilish schmize (is that how you spell it?). She wore:

Dress, Maria Lucia Hohan; Boots, Sergio Rossi; Clutch, LuLu Guinness

Wendy Nguyen, Wendy’s Lookbook

Talk about another genuine, kind and beautiful person. Wendy is the “it” blogger of the moment, and it’s easy to know why. Her and her mystery man are a power couple, who are incredibly dedicated to their craft, dispense positive advice freely and are just so cute together. One of my fellow LA-bloggers, Wendy and I had met a few times before, however we truly bonded over this trip. She’s also a fearless shopper, which I LOVE! She wore:

Leather Jacket, Rick Owens; Necklace & Earrings, Bjorg; Wedges, Casadei

Aimee Song, Song of Style

Aimee is another LA-based blogger, and an absolute sweetheart. Witty, funny, down-to-earth and just so gorgeous, she entertained us all for hours with her funny stories and candid matter-of-fact comments. Plus, check out how she’s rocking those Kanye West-designed shoes. Iconic! She wore:

Coat, Meteo; Tank, Alexander Wang; Skirt, Karl Lagerfeld; Shoes, Kanye West by Giuseppe Zanotti

Anna Nooshin, NSMBL.nl

I’ve mentioned Anna and the Dutch gang multiple times when reporting from Florence. I actually met Anna in line to the Christian Siriano show during NYFW last season. She was speaking Dutch to a friend, and I butted in. Instantly warm, we bonded over the cold weather and that horrific line. While she bolted and headed to the Wang show, the two of us stayed in touch and were elated to see each other again during Firenze4Ever. We bonded over standing in heels at the Madonna concert, got lost on the way back to the cars; and like most of the other bloggers, she was also instantly taken aback by my stylish mother, who was in turn equally taken aback by Anna’s striking looks. She’s an amazing business woman, friend and woman, so make sure to check out the NSMBL site. Google translates it to English for you, so no excuses! She wore:

Dress, Stella McCartney; Clutch, Pucci; Shoes, Alexandre Birman

P.S. I was equally as obsessed with her adorable assistant Chloe.

Elizabeth & Carlos, Fashion’s Collective

Newly wed couple Elizabeth & Carlos run Fashion’s Collective together. A site that discusses how fashion brands can leverage today’s digital innovations to reach new consumers and connect with clients. All I can say about these two were that they were fun! They knew how to dress, they knew how to eat and were New Yorkers. Is there really anything else in life? They used a model for their style lab, and I think we can all agree the look they styled was straight from the pages of Elle. She wore:

Sweater, Kenzo; Skirt (in-store), Karl Lagerfeld; Coat, Simonetta Ravizza; Clutch, Anya Hindmarch

So when looking at all these bloggers, all done up and fabulous, I think to myself, Gah, they look like professional models on professional photo shoots. Don’t you think? Did you check out all the Style Labs? Do you like my picks?

Hope you ALL enjoyed my coverage of Florence! Arrivederci!
