Ever since the tragic death of Alexander McQueen, his former right hand girl Sarah Burton has stepped into the helm of the iconic British brand without missing a beat. Her designs like Lee’s (his nickname) have been futuristic, idyllic and in a sense almost untouchable. Her Fall/Winter 2012 show during Paris Fashion Week was no exception, and showed her skill, vision and creativity.
By taking her audience to futuristic fashion fantasies, almost none of the pieces could have been worn by day, but were a testament to the McQueen’s house prominence in modern fashion; and her current abilities to dream larger than any other designer at the moment. Perhaps she dreams for Lee as well.
Visors, fur, feathers and gladiator-sized belts never looked so fashionable.
